Deploying the next generation of public health responders and leaders.

The Corona Corps was developed in June 2020 at the University of Oregon’s Center for Global Health in partnership with University Health Services and in close collaboration with Lane County Department of Public Health and the Oregon Health Authority.

The Corona Corps gives students the opportunity to work on the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic, linking students doing this work with peers at other institutions in Oregon, the U.S., the Pacific Rim, and around the world. It also brings together faculty from many universities who are bringing research on coronavirus and the effort to mitigate it into their classrooms. The Corona Corps also provides a platform for public health professionals to share their experiences and lessons.

Corona Corps Monitoring Team

The Monitoring Team, in partnership with Lane County Department of Public Health and the Oregon Health Authority, consists of a growing number of student contact monitors, case managers, and case investigation support staff.

Corona Corps Care Team

The Corona Corps Care Team, in partnership with UO campus partners, Lane County Department of Public Health and the Oregon Health Authority, is a specialized component of the Corona Corps.

Building resilient systems of response to public health challenges will take a movement of people across the world. If you are interested in partnering with us or learning more about Corona Corps, email us at coronacorps@uoregon.edu.

“Corona Corps is here for you. The community is here for you. You’re not in this alone.”
